Job Description:

Vantage Health Plan, Inc is in search of an experienced Web Programmer/Analyst for our corporate headquarters in Monroe, LA.

The Web Programmer/Analyst will have overall responsibility for working on a variety of projects primarily involved in web site design and development as well as redesign of  various web-sites within Vantage Health Plan, Inc. The Web Programmer will optimize the user experience while achieving the overall business objectives of the site.  The Web Programmer will work with our Graphic Designer to develop the overall customer experience, but will be primarily responsible for developing the back end our web sites and integrating them with our applications.  

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work with the graphic designer to help him/her to develop the dynamic data driven portions of the VHPs websites.
• Utilize Web Services and/or other tools to help automate business processes.
• Ongoing maintenance of existing online applications.
• Participates in efforts to improve quality of Web sites and other electronic publications as required.
• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• B.A. or B.S. in Computer Science
• Two to three years experience in web development and design
• Demonstrated, real-world experience in web development and design
• Knowledge of development Languages:  .NET/PHP/Java, ASP, JavaScript, DHTML, HTML, AJAX, CSS, JQuery, XML, and Web Services.
• Equally adept at user interface and back-end aspects of development
• Development Tools:  Visual Studio .NET, Visual SourceSafe
• Design Tools: Flash, Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop
• Architectures:  Multi-tier ASP.NET and web services
• Experience with developing SQL tables and queries for MSSQL 2005/2008
• Ability to coordinate and communication with internal groups.
• Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced, high exposure projects
• Ability to gather and document requirements
• Problem solver who can think for themselves and work with minimal direction
• Demonstrated ability to deliver proven results with tight deadlines
